Shenandoah Country Club first opened for play in 1970. The course was designed by E. E. Evans.
Shenandoah Country Club Golf Course is a challenging course with narrow, oak-lined fairways. Out-of-bounds stakes line every hole. The greens are large. Water hazards come into play on about ten holes.
Shenandoah Country Club Golf Course is a par-72 layout that plays to 6,971 yards from the tips. The course rating is 73.6 with a slope rating of 134.
One of the more difficult holes is #12, a 578-yard, par 5, which plays to a dogleg right fairway, with water crossing the fairway just past the turn and running down the remaining left side of the hole.
